When I read about corporations that are robbing us blind and the politicians that let them do it I sometimes forget the important things to celebrate on the 4th of July. Our ability to stand up against tyranny even when it looks hopeless and the fact that America inspite of all of the crass consummerism and bullshit propaganda continues to produce strong citizens who are not afraid to face our many contradictions and make us live up to what we could and should be.  &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Happy 4th and I&#039;ll be the one with the extra box of sparklers this year!</description>
