I second Jill...nice work! I fear that these modern accounts of the white bigoted sheriff reining from his anachronistic outpost in the old west is not such an uncommon theme in borderland USA. I couldn't help but think, after hearing these guys speak, that 'America' has never been defined to include the indigenous people of this land, but in contrast to them. I also question whether the dominant image of America necessarily has anything to do with an ethnic majority. After all, America was claimed by a ridiculous minority of European immigrants to a land then inhabited by an estimated 90 some million indigenous people! But I do think that the role of technology / media is a crucial tool in the redefining of what it means to be American...and your piece is a perfect example of how its being used to give new voice to the struggle!

Noah, once again a great piece! Nice to hear the voices that are often drowned out by Arpaio's antics.
