		<description>Excellent article, Glenn. As a North Carolina community college teacher, I can tell you that the NC community college system has large needs in this difficult economy. Until the Dream Act passes, this sort of thing will continue to provide the nativist lobby an opportunity to divert resources from the real needs of our more than 800,000 students.

I have met Marie Gonzalez. I absolutely believe she loves the country we have shared for most of her life. I recognize  in her the belief in the United States that my students so often express--no matter what their immigration status.
