We know that the anti-immigrant rally on June 5 was a disaster, attended by some of the most racist anti-immigrant activists around. Here’s a list of the most disturbing things seen or heard at the rally:

Signs stating “Sheriff Joe for President!!”

Alice Novoa-Benson stating that Aztlan is “a radical Islamic, Mexican, Catholic movement that plans on taking over our nation and getting rid of and killing all American Europeans.” The scary part is that Novoa-Benson is currently running for office in Arizona – as a justice of the peace.

Raymond Herrera, a member of the San Diego Minutemen stating, “to be an American is to be an Anglo-protestant core culture society.”

The march starting with a bike ride led by White Boy Society, a white’s only biker gang.White Boys Society

Barbara “lock and load” Coe of Californian Coalition for Immigration Reform, hugging it out with Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

Barbara Coe finishing her speech by saying “It is now our responsibility to stand up and be counted,’’ she said to cheers. “This is our turning point. The traitors have underestimated the power of Americans. No mas. … God forbid it should come to this but if it should come to this, lock and load.”

Ted Hayes telling the white crowd that they don’t need to apologize for slavery, stating,

“White people didn’t start slavery, no, it started in Africa. That’s where it started. And we are just as responsible in this as anyone else. And I will say to you, that you my white brothers and sisters have come closer to us black people than we have come to you. And I apologize for that.”
