Last week, anti-Muslim figurehead Frank Gaffney’s organization, the Center for Security Policy (CSP), released a new e-book by conservative author James Simpson. The book – titled, The Red-Green Axis: Refugees, Immigration and the Agenda to Erase America – is the fourth release in CSP’s “Civilization Jihad Reader” series.
“Mass migration and colonization seeks to ‘erase America.’ It is enabled by myriad legal US immigration programs but most especially the refugee resettlement program, its contractors and subcontractors, left-wing philanthropies and activists,” the book’s synopsis reads.
The book details a supposed alliance between the political left and “Islamists,” or as it is commonly referred to by Gaffney, the “Red-Green Axis.” Simpson’s work purports to provide evidence that left-leaning foundations and nonprofits are using the U.S. government’s immigration and refugee resettlement programs to carry out a broader goal of “fundamentally transforming” America. No doubt this argument seeks to lend credence to rhetoric commonly spouted off by Gaffney and his ilk, who stoke fears that changing demographics — especially with regard to Muslims — represent a grave threat to the dominant ethnic and religious majorities in the U.S. and in Western Europe.

In a press release for the book, CSP claims the organization “Welcoming America” is 1) an Obama initiative (it’s not), and 2) an effort “to ‘seed’ refugees throughout our communities and weed out ‘pockets of resistance’ with a full-throated effort vilifying anyone opposing his radical agenda.”
The press release continues: “It is literally an offensive to erase American laws, traditions and culture, and replace them with a pliable, multi-cultural society that will vote the Left into the ‘permanent progressive majority’ it seeks.”
The press release also notes that Simpson’s book expands on the work of Ann Corcoran, the publisher of a conspiratorial blog: “(Simpson’s book) adds considerable detail to – the research conducted by Ann Corcoran. Her blog, Refugee Resettlement Watch, has become an indispensable resource for those concerned with the UN-directed and U.S. government-enabled colonization of America, all too often by unscreened aliens.”
Beyond the far-right tropes and myths of “a one-world government,” Corcoran also argues that Muslim refugees who are resettled in the U.S. are agents of a grand scheme to “Islamize” the West. Earlier this year, CSP released a monograph by Corcoran that is riddled with this type of rhetoric. The monograph – titled, Refugee Resettlement and the Hijra to America – is the third release in CSP’s “Civilization Jihad Reader” series.
