There Goes the Neighborhood is a weekly series from Imagine 2050 staff highlighting upcoming nativist events.

This week, an anti-Muslim speaker in California.

On Thursday, April 6, anti-Muslim writer Nonie Darwish will speak in Los Angeles, California. She will be discussing her new book, Wholly Different: Why I Chose Biblical Values Over Islamic Values at and event organized by the David Horowitz Freedom Center (DHFC).

Darwish is a contributor to virulent anti-Muslim activist Pamela Geller’s website. Darwish’s organization, Former Muslims United, is now formally affiliated with the American Freedom Defense Initiative, which Geller co-runs with DHFC employee Robert Spencer. Both Darwish and Spencer were featured speakers at the “Islam and Western Civilization” conference in California last August.
